IGNEOUS

Since studying art at college, where abstraction was not permitted, and university, where I didn't get on with my painting tutor, I have masqueraded as, among others, an admin assistant, librarian and cardboard box designer.

Following a phase of re-evaluation, I am now dedicating more time to honouring my creative urges. A departure from the dark and moody art of my 20s, my current paintings are bright, cheerful, and (almost) entirely abstract. I am a late-diagnosed neurodivergent, finally learning to work with my brain rather than against it.

My research interests include colour relationships and neurodivergent visual perception.
